From Assessment through Funding with Power Seat Functions
Power seat functions (PSF) can make the difference for someone being able to independently complete a task or participate in meaningful activities, but also require clear and articulate clinical justification to meet funding criteria. PSF’s each have different benefits however it is often the integration of these features working together that provide the required support for increasing functional capacity.
This full day session will look at the considerations of various PSF’s for both functional use and postural support. We will discuss ways we can provide evidence that an individual’s functional capacity is increased through provision of PSF and practise a few outcome measures that can be considered. Opportunities to try out the different functions will be encouraged throughout the day.
