Amy was amazing and Scott and the Aidacare staff were brilliant - really grateful for the opportunity to attend! Thank you!!!
I liked all the different types of wheelchairs (standard, power, tilt in space, power assist, etc) and Amy running through the different components of all. Additionally, I found the quick MAT evaluation run through very beneficial - thank you.
Presenter was VERY knowledgeable. She was very engaging to sit and listen to.
Joana's expertise is exceptional- it is wonderful to have a 'local' event that isn't extremely costly to attend. It was wonderful that she was able to provide details on complex seating, and finally link to products. Looking at the clients first, rather than products.
I simply liked the level of knowledge and passion Sam had towards what he was talking about. The information was clear and thorough and provided a good base understanding for wheelchair prescription. The hands-on component of the workshop was good for us as therapists to get an understanding of what functional requirements/skills are needed to operate the wheelchairs and their differing setups.
The presenters were very knowledgeable and tied the products into real-life scenarios. There wasn’t too much of a marketing/sales “pitch” but more of a genuine clinical concern for the quality of life of the chair users.
The learning content was great! The years of expertise were evident and the passion for 'seating and complex clients' was evident. I enjoyed the hands-on section and working with other therapists and building working relationships. I went away with a clear goal on how to improve my own skills and what the important factors are when assessing seating and posture. I left the seminar feeling positive, encouraged and informed. It was a wonderful event and I am so happy that I attended.
Incredibly informative, acquired new knowledge, very in-depth and detailed explanation.
The information on MAT evaluation and complex seating was very relevant to clinical practice. The practical component of the seating workshop was a great learning opportunity, however would have benefited from a demonstration of a MAT evaluation before moving on to the practical session on the day so that participates particularly new therapist knew how and what to assess during the MAT evaluation.
I really enjoyed the amount of detail the presenters where able to get into without drawing out the process into a long lecture - great educational presentation. The hands on components of the seminar were also great. This partnered with being able to approach the equipment specialists and discuss the chairs with them was a great opportunity.
Everyone was so welcoming and knowledgeable, so much assistance was provided for all enquiries and I walked away with a greater understanding of the options available.
Great to have a variety of suppliers and reps in the one room on the one day. Great to have small working groups - created opportunity for in depth discussion and questions. Great to have multiple products available for demonstrating and trialling on the day. Great venue with easy parking and pots of space. Great food too thanks!
